It seems like forever that Copper Mountain Ski Resort has been known for the local mountain. Even today many choose Frisco CO homes and other close by mountain real estate in order to be close to Copper skiing. In fact, it appears that if you ask any local where they ski the most, they typically say Copper Mountain even if they live in nearby towns in the county like Frisco.

Copper Mountain Trail Map

Being so close, only six miles up I-70, Frisco Colorado and other towns with CO real estate are in high demand to offer a town feel with Frisco CO condos and homes as well as a close proximity to a great ski resort. Colorado real estate nestled in small resort towns like Frisco CO offer something for everyone even for those looking for more than simply Frisco CO Real Estate or a property to call home.

Copper Mountain is one of the only resorts in North America where the mountain's natural terrain separates skiers of different levels from one side to the other...easier runs are located on the west side of the resort, intermediate runs are spread out throughout the center of the resort and the advanced bumps are off to the east side. Of course, Copper Mountain offers advanced runs, bumps and terrific bowls high above it all too.

Besides the lift serviced part of Copper Mountain skiers and boarders will find a snowcat serviced area to Tucker Mountain and very steep chutes! Terrain parks, jumps, kickers, halfpipes as well as kidz zones that contain smaller 'kid friendly' versions can be easily found at Copper Mountain.

Of course the Village is full of activities, entertainment and restaurants and shops for after skiing or simply to enjoy while taking a day off from skiing or boarding.

Copper Mountain Resort Information: The Village and base area are at 9,712 feet and the top of the mountain, a rise of 2,601 feet up, is at 12,313 feet in elevation; which provides 2,601 feet to ski down! The 125 trails and terrain is divided up by 21% beginner, 24% intermediate, 36% advanced and 18% expert that is serviced by 22 lifts. And with 280 inches of average snowfall each season, Copper Mountain typically has plenty of good fresh Colorado Rocky Mountain Powder.
