New Resort Improvements including Mountain Real Estate

Even with our national economy being a little bit sluggish skiers, snowboarders and winter fun seekers hitting the slopes this winter will be able to take advantage of ski resort improvements adding up to millions of dollars of enhancements including new mountain real estate! Those wishing to use their Colorado Real Estate like their Frisco homes will get the added bonus of new terrain and amenities at a number of Colorado ski resorts in and around Frisco CO as well as the rest of the Colorado Rocky Mountains including Summit County CO.

Skiers and snowboarders will find new terrain at Telluride and Monarch Mountain; which is a little bit far for a day trip from Summit County Real Estate but a terrific weekend get away from Summit County or your Frisco property. Those staying in their Frisco Homes will be able to take advantage of Winter Park's new 5.8 million dollar gondola making it easier to get from the parking lot to the new village for a day of riding and still be able to return to Frisco Colorado in the evening.

With the slowing economy many resorts are continuing to move forward with upgrades and expansions simply to create new and increased interest as resorts compete for skier and boarder visits as well as overnight lodging at local mountain real estate. Even with many existing Frisco condo and home owners still coming up to their mountain real estate for weekends it is the "Not knowing" how the up and coming ski season will pan out resorts need to remain flexible and able to change in rapidly changing industry and economy.

The 2007/2008 ski season had around 12.5 million skier and snowboarder visits; which is a good amount. Yet, down slightly from the previous year's skier and snowboarder visits. Summit County ski resorts have fared well, yet with the current economy there is still some concerns of what the up and coming season will bring for skiing as well as Summit County Real Estate lodging and sales.

Those wishing to visit or vacation in the Colorado Rocky Mountains this up and coming ski season will be pleasantly surprised at some of the new improvements that can be found at the resorts close by to their mountain real estate or condo or home.

Such as the new gondola at Keystone that was installed in a new location in the middle of the River Run Village for easier access as well as a mid-station. In Vail one will find a new plaza area and at Beaver Creek children will enjoy the new Children's Ski School. Breckenridge has a recently upgraded and renovated base area at Peak 7 to go along with its relatively new gondola from the town to the mountain. All these resorts are easily accessible from Summit County and other Frisco Real Estate.

Many of the improvements may not have been on the public's top list of wants and needs today, but rather the improvements are the resorts looking into the future to implement amenities that the public will be searching for in the years to come. Being ahead of the curve is important in order to compete for the skier and boarder visits needed to remain profitable and, thus, be able to continue to offer what the public desires.

Some other improvements around the state include Aspen with new restaurants, a lift and halfpipe and new terrain. Snowmass is proud of their new ski-in/ski-out real estate condos. And Crested Butte ski resort is gearing up to offer improvements for kids as well as new/improved on mountain terrain.

And in anticipation of continued growth in skier and boarder visits, Monarch improved its reservation system, ski school and rental center along with new improvements for kids.

No matter what your interest are or questions are, we can help. I have been enjoying all the Summit County area has to offer for over 20 years now and active in local mountain real estate for over 14 of those 20 years - feel free to put my experience and knowledge to work for you.
