If you have walked through the downtown Breckenridge area lately you are sure to have noticed construction going on at the Riverwalk Center located in downtown Breckenridge. The new Riverwalk Center will no longer use a tent to cover the building - similar looking to DIA's tent like structure.

New Breckenridge Riverwalk Center

The new Riverwalk Center will offer a permanent hardshell roof which will improve the sound, temperature control and lighting inside the building. The permanent structure was funded by way of fundraising with a cost of more than a million dollars. The completion should take place in June just in time for the National Repertory Orchestra to begin rehearsals.

Although the improved roof and interior will allow the Riverwalk Center to extend the current season the intention is to keep the seasonality of the performance schedule and utilize the facility as winter opportunities arise.
