From 'historic' Keystone to world class Colorado ski resort close to Dillon and Frisco CO. It is a little harder to find some of the 'old' Keystone, CO as it recently had a huge face lift with a new base area full of newer mountain real estate like one would find in nearby towns like Frisco Colorado and the Frisco Real Estate and townhomes and homes. One can get an idea of times past by going to some of the towns, old mines and areas surrounding Keystone (Montezuma, Peru Creek, Sts. John, Dillon, Silverthorne and Frisco).

Today, Keystone provides first class lodging and elegant dining for its winter and summertime guests as well as being close to old mountain towns like Frisco Colorado and all its Colorado real estate and Frisco Property. World class skiing in the winter, championship golfing in the summer all combined in one spectacular setting offering mountain real estate and all the amenities that a Colorado resort is known for and all a short drive from Denver. Many stay at Keystone resort while other vacationers stay in nearby towns like Dillon, Silverthorne, Breckenridge or Frisco.

While the Keystone resort is certainly a wonderful resort town located in Summit County, the county offers many other areas of interest, ski resorts, mountain real estate and activities. Some of those Summit County towns loaded with Colorado real estate are Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon, Copper Mountain, Frisco and Silverthorne.

Keystone ski resort was founded in 1970 by Max and Edna Dercum. Even today Keystone is know n as a family mountain located in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains where family and friends can enjoy all that the resort and the CO mountains have to offer for activities and mountain real estate.

Keystone ski resort today is spread out over seven miles of the Snake River Valley with three mountains combined with Colorado mountain resort villages offering all the amenities that a skier would want. Skiers and summer visitors alike will find Keystone ski resort full of wonderful shops, stores, unique bars and some of the best restaurants in Summit County. And for those that own or want to own Keystone real estate they have top-notch conference facilities to go along with their mountain resort real estate for accommodations.

Want to do something besides ski or wander about a cute Colorado Mountain Village? Keystone resort also offers world-class golf courses, horse rides, spas and specific mountain biking trails going up or down their mountain in the summertime. Above all Keystone is a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends enjoying all that the Colorado Rocky Mountains has to offer in a world class resort setting.

Keystone ski resort may be a terrific place in the CO Rocky Mountains for friends and family, but it is also a place to find challenges like the bump ski runs and glade skiing found on North Peak and the Outback. And for those that want a little more skiing than a typical day on the slopes Keystone offers night skiing too!

Ice skating is popular on Keystone's outdoor rink and cross country skiing enthusiast will enjoy Keystone's Nordic center and trails. Night time one can enjoy sleigh rides and unique evening gondola rides to spectacular restaurants located on the top in rustic mountain resort lodges.

Keystone certainly has something for everyone and the ski resort is conveniently located to Denver via I-70 and the Eisenhower Tunnel or over Loveland Pass. Once you are settled in at Keystone you can forget the car and take advantage of their transit systems as well as their Villages which are located in key areas all setup for visitors and residents to easily enjoy all that Keystone ski resort has to offer.
