The Town of Silverthorne recently awarded a construction contract for another section of the Blue River trail system to be completed this Summit. The trail work will be on a 2,400 foot section running from Bald Eagle Road south to Legend Lake Circle - all along the Blue River.
Once completed, the Town of Silverthorne will be closer to its goal of having trail running the entire length of the town. The intention of the new trail is more than a simple walking path or bike path, but rather a very scenic experience along the beautiful Blue River. In fact, the name of the trail project is, "The Blue River Experience."
The Blue River Experience, starts at the Dillon Dam and goes south along the Blue River for 3.5 miles downstream. More information can be found at the Town of Silverthorne's website at www.silverthorne.org.
