Direction Highway 131 to CR12 (just North of Phippsburg). You will see Craig Herefords on the West side, and a railroad trestle on the East side. Go under the trestle. In about 1/2 mile on CR12 is the first locked gate (you will see two houses). Usually it is NOT locked, just the chain around the gate. Go about 0.7 miles to the second gate (you will pass a gate on the right, which access the power lines, do not take this trail), at the second gate, go about 0.5 miles to the third gate (which is on your right). This trail is more wooded, and a bit primitive. Follow this trail to the open/clearing at the top of the hill. Trail continues down the hill to a (slight) left.
